In August 2020, as part of the project of researching the Franc Gor\u0161i\u010d organ legacy, we documented the organ in the parish church of St. O\u017ebolt at Zgornje Jezersko. This is Gor\u0161i\u010d’s 16th work, dating from 1873.<\/p>\n

Scope of documentation<\/h2>\n

Technical documentation<\/strong> included the following measurements:<\/p>\n

  • basic dimensions of the church, choir, organ case, and console<\/li>\n
  • tuning and temperature<\/li>\n
  • wind system<\/li>\n
  • windchests and the pipes arrangement on the windchests<\/li>\n
  • measurements of the pipes and pipe scales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Number of pipes:<\/strong> 608 (wood: 80, metal: 528)<\/p>\n

    The organ is mechanical with a slider chest:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Number of windchests:<\/strong> 2 (manual: 1, pedal: 1)<\/li>\n
    • Wind pressure<\/strong>: 75 mm water column<\/li>\n
    • Tuning:<\/strong> a1<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0= 447,6 Hz<\/li>\n
    • Wind system:<\/strong> double bellows with onefeeder bellows (electric blower, motor Rade Kon\u010dar Type: AZc157-4)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Notes:<\/p>\n

      • The organ pipes are dirty, as the inside of the organ was not protected during the painting.<\/li>\n
      • The prospect pipes are not authentic.<\/li>\n
      • The organ needs a thorough cleaning, but nonetheless, it functions satisfactorily from a technical standpoint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
