Support and Implementation Supervision

Independent and impartial project management assistance and expert supervision of implementation

Any intervention on a historically significant musical instrument requires a high level of expertise. It is essential to have the support of pipe organ experts who can supervise the work to ensure that it is carried out correctly, maintain quality, and prevent any mistakes that could damage the instrument. Following the project with support and supervision ensures that the contractors use the appropriate equipment, materials, and technology and that they comply with the guidelines for the protection of cultural heritage.

However, the quality of the execution of the works is not the only aspect of supervision and support. It also includes monitoring the progress of the project, i.e. which activities have been carried out, whether the works are progressing according to the planned timetable and cost schedule, whether there are deviations from the plan and the planned specifications, and what action should be taken in these cases.

Organistica provides independent and impartial support and supervision of any intervention in the historic organ. By detecting discrepancies and taking appropriate action promptly, we ensure the smooth running of the project and avoid the high costs of rectifying any defects. Throughout the project, we report to the client on the progress and the work carried out and ensure effective communication between the different contractors. We also create detailed project documentation, including details of the project, the materials used, before and after photos and other relevant information. At the end of the interventions, we supervise final checks and analyses to confirm that all project objectives have been achieved and that the organ is in optimal condition and make recommendations for any further action if necessary. We are the client’s right-hand man in taking over the instrument from the contractors. We also advise on the regular maintenance and care of the organ to maintain its long-term functionality and quality.
